Your home insurance doesn’t cover a vehicle while stored in the garage, yard, a storage facility, or ever for that matter! There’s only one way to provide coverage for a vehicle: you need to have it covered on an auto policy with physical damage coverage (comprehensive and collision). Don’t forget, when you park that 1965 Ford Mustang for the winter (that is your baby and more important than your kids) you must maintain auto coverage on it. If the vehicle is old enough, you may be eligible to have specific coverage for a classic or antique vehicle.
